MY 3 FAVOURITE BOOKS OF 2018, SO FAR.

I gave myself a reading challenge of 50 books this year, and although I’m still only on 19 (Whoops) I’ve read some great books so far this year.

Today I’m sharing my top 3 so far!

LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE

Little Fires Everywhere is a book all about the secrets of a family who live in an upper class American town, and it’s a read full of drama! I absolutely dove head first into this book, and it was a real page-turner, I was desperate to find out what happened in the end!

It was a story that really made me think and question how I would of reacted if it happened to me, and I’m not sure I’ve read a book that I’ve thought about so long after I finished it. If you haven’t read it, you must read this immediately!

ICE CREAM FOR BREAKFAST

I’ve heard a lot about this book on Instagram, thanks to it’s gorgeous cover! But let me tell you, the inside of the book is even better.

It’s all about how as children, we lived much more simply, focused more on our happiness and worried less. Laura talks about the year she spent becoming a nanny and what she learned from spending time with the 3 children. It’s filled to the brim with fantastic insight and really makes you want to live more simplier, but bringing back fun into your life too. Laura is super funny too and that comes across in her writing. You will most likely love this book, you can’t not!

THE LIDO

I’ve always loved swimming and being in the water, so when picking up this book I had a feeling I’d like it. Although, I had no idea just how much I would fall in love with the people and community feel of this book!

I’d say it has the best story of a fiction book I’ve read in a few years, it’s a very simple straight-forward read but it’s jam-packed with lots of love. It’s so touching and I really felt part of the community reading this, plus it also made me want to run to my local swimming pool too!

It’s been a week or so since I finished it as I’m writing this and I really miss the characters in this book!
