Over the past year, lots of my favourite blogs have stopped publishing. Maybe they’ve lost the passion for it, or they just don’t really want to be ‘online’ anymore. But this post is here to tell you why I’m personally, not giving up on blogging.
Writing has always been my true love. My number one way to express myself. And it still is.
There’s just something so comforting and therapeutic to me about sitting down and typing out my thoughts. It feels calming, heck, it feels like coming home. I started blogging not for anyone else to even read it, I just wanted to put my thoughts and feelings out into the world.
I still think blogs have a massive place in this online world. There’s something immersive you get about reading snapshots into someones thoughts that may not always come across in an Instagram caption. It feels like you’re being let in to a private part of their world. An online diary of sorts.
Plus, as we all know, our blogs are the only thing we have that are actually ours. They can’t be shut down immediately (unless you don’t pay your domain renewal).
More so than ever, I feel like I’ve come back to a good place in my blog. I write what I want to say. I publish what feels good to me, whether anyone is going to pop by and read it or not. (It still blows my mind that people actually read it, so thank you!!!)
So that’s me.
Promise I’m not going anywhere!
Would you ever give up on blogging?
