The wonderful Chelsea often does *live* blog posts, where she just sits and types, then publishes whatever comes up. I really felt like doing that today, thank you for the great idea Chelsea!
We spent this morning doing my least favourite activity- food shopping. Although I did come away with lots of vegan snacks so that’s great.
I’m typing this while watching Workin’ Moms on Netflix, I’ve heard great stuff about it and I fancied giving it a go. I’m really liking it so far! I’ve got the afternoon to myself which is something I always love. I need that quiet time to do what I want. Even when I’ve got a busy schedule (which is getting more and more most days) I have to schedule that time in and not let myself down. Lately, I’ve been feeling like a lot of people have been demanding more of my time, which I suppose is a nice thing, but it does make me feel under pressure and that I’m already doing as much as I can. We’re only human after all. And on top of those demands we have the premise of social media and showing up as much as we can. Things can start to feel a bit busy, and I forget what my non negotiables are. I don’t want to live a nice positive life on social media if I’m not having one in real life. I often have to remind myself that the number of followers you have on Instagram is not something worth worrying over.
We all have the same amount of hours in a day. It’s up to us how we spend them. That’s our power.
This has turned into quite a rambly post but hopefully you can sense what I’m meaning, it has felt quite nice to get it off my chest (a reason I love blogging!).
Here’s to spending our days how we want.
How are you today?
