products stood up

If there’s one skincare product that’s the most likely to break me out, it’s moisturisers. Something about my sensitive/combination skin can really react to them badly from the first use. Over this year I finally feel like I’ve worked out my favourite moisturisers, hence this post!

I’ve really loved everything I’ve tried from Pai so far, so this day cream was no exception. The brand itself prides their products on their calming influence on the skin, and maybe that’s why I get on with it so well. Everything just feels very soothing, which is very me.

I won’t bang on about the Lancome Hydra Zen too much, as I’ve already told you guys how it’s my favourite moisturiser ever. It’s without a doubt my desert island must-have.

The Clinique Moisture Surge is more of a gel formula, but I use it to replace moisturiser is my skincare routine. It’s very gentle and super hydrating on my skin, and I love how fresh it makes it look and feel. It’s a moisturiser to rely on when you want something to give you moisture and not break you out.

I was gifted the Botanics Day Cream with Rosehip and I’m honestly so surprised how much I love this. It’s becoming a holy grail, which is not something I find with new products often. Maybe its due to the fact that my skin adores rosehip, or the natural ingredients that don’t fuss my complexion, but if you have a similar skin type to me I would 100% recommend and it’s a product I will be re-purchasing with my own money once its used up!

I use The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors with AHA as a moisturiser and a primer and it works wonders. It’s so affordable and at only £5 you can’t go wrong. It makes my makeup sit so lovely on the skin, and I don’t have anything bad to say about it.

Now that’s done, tell me.. what’s your favourite moisturiser?

Clinique products are really good. So I’m not surprised the moisturizer from Clinique does a good job for your skin. My best moisturizer now is the Blackup ultra mattifying rebalancing fluid. Hydrates but still mattifies my oily skin and doesn’t of course break me out.

  • This photo is so stunning, Natalie! I love it. The Botanics day cream sounds so lovely. I nearly picked it up the other, but I may possibly have to go back and get it now haha xx

    • Oh thank you Lauren! That means a lot 🙂 I really love it xx

  • Definitely going to bookmark this one as I’m always on the lookout for new moisturisers! A while back I wrote about that Lancome range for a client and I loved the sound of it so definitely going to check out the moisturiser asap!

    • It’s honestly my favourite EVER! Couldn’t be without it x

  • These all sound like such great picks. I’m still on the hunt for my holy-grail moisturizer. I would love to try the Clinique one and also the Botanics one. Nice picture! xx

  • Oooh Natalie thank you so much for all of these recommendations – I am usually SO lost with finding the right ones for my skin, such a nightmare. I have been using my trusty Garnier moisture bomb over the past few months and I LOVE it. It is affordable and one of the only ones I don’t break out with. A lot of trial an error with skincare, isn’t it? Immy x

    • Ooh I wanted to try that one ages ago but never got around to it, might have to try it! I’m usually so fussy with moisturisers so I’m glad I’ve found some that I love! xx

  • Ooh, £5!! I need to give that one a go then!

Thank you for such in depth reviews and recommendations! Products don’t often break me out, but it’s so hard finding a moisturizer that actually works. It’s great to hear you’ve found something you like and that works for you. A good price is something I can get behind too!

Sending light & love your way,

    • Aw thank you so much, doing my favourite face masks next! I always love it when it’s affordable and really great too!

  • I struggle with moisturisers breaking me out a lot too – it looks like you’ve got yours down now! I really like the Superdrug Vitamin E day/night creams so super affordable ones, but I’d like to find a couple more that I love to put in rotation too because it’s nice to switch sometimes isnt it…thinking I might try The Ordinary one soon! xxx

    • Definitely give The Ordinary a go, it’s such a good brand! xx

  • My holy grail is the philosophy renewed hope in a jar moisturiser – can’t use anything else!
