Lets be straight: I’m not blogging for any other reason than for myself and the enjoyment I get from it. I don’t do it to get freebies or to become the next Zoella. And of course every person wants growth in their passion, so it got me thinking about how I’m planning on growing my little space on the web this year…
Keep posting regular content
I would love to continue posting every other day on the blog. It means that some weeks there are 3 posts, and the other there are 4, so that seems like a good mix for me. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with this by writing in advance. I also want to keep posting about the topics that I love, whether they are popular or not. I’m definitely thinking of including more mental health posts, but I feel like I’m just not there yet in some ways. I haven’t got any blogging breaks scheduled but you never know how life is going to go, but I’m not going to feel guilty if there is a break in content.
Continue engaging with others
I love reading posts by my favourite bloggers and being inspired by Instagram, so I definitely want to keep engaging online. I hope as I continue blogging, I get to engage with even more people. I’m starting to feel like I’m really building up my own ‘tribe’ online and it’s wonderful to have a group of people I know who are there for me, even if I’ve not met them in person (although hopefully I will meet some more of them this year!)
Staying true to YOU
I feel like as a blogger, you can become consumed by it. Because I love to see what other people write and how they are expressing their journey, it is easy to be influenced, especially if you see that that particular type of content is proving very well received. Thankfully I’ve never let myself get down to the point where I publish something that is completely not me, and I’m starting to realise even more that I’m not going to be a certain type of ‘blogger’, if there is such a thing.
Always stay true to you. The likes, engagement, and comments will come at the right time. But if you’ve been yourself, you will proud without them anyway.
A new venture?
Now I’m throwing this one completely out on a whim, but even typing this possibility excites me so much! I honestly have no idea what this may be, but I’m adding it to the list as I love trying new things, and I feel like I have the freedom to push myself and my content out there a little more, in different ways. Who knows what this may be, but it definitely has me doing a little brainstorm and feeling VERY inspired.. I must also mention that I started my own hashtag! It’s called #postyoureverydaylife and I would love it if you got involved!
