It’s time for another version of my chatty life update post! I’ve just checked and the last one (which was actually the first too) was in August so I reckon there’s quite a lot of stuff that’s been on my mind lately.
I feel like over the past week I’ve really started slowing down. Making the most of being at home, and when I am busy and out and about, being mindful in those moments too, which I think is super important. Seeing every car journey as a chance for me to catch up on podcasts and ‘me-time’, instead of something I don’t particularly enjoy. I’m slowly learning that it’s okay to say no even if it’s something you don’t mind doing, but your body says otherwise. It doesn’t have to be a big dramatic gesture, you can just postpone it to the next day. It feels good I have to say.
FUN PLANS TO LOOK FORWARD TO
We’ve just booked our honeymoon, which is very exciting! We are going on a cruise around Dubai which came about quite out of the blue, but we just ran with the idea, and it looks incredible. There’s quite a few stops along the way such as Bahrain and Abu Dhabi, aswell as a spa on board which I will for sure be making the use out of! I’ve never been on a cruise before so I’m intrigued as to how it will be, and we go in February so not that long to wait. In other fun plan news, me, my mum and sister have booked a girls weekend to Sheffield at the end of the month which I’m really looking forward to. We did it in the summer and it was great to spend quality time together as a three.
I spoke about this on my Instagram stories a few days ago so I won’t harp on about it too much here, but I did have a little Instagram self-doubt dilemma. Even though I’m enjoying posting and creating on there and my engagement is really good, my follower count was just dropping constantly. I got some lovely messages when I spoke out about it and from now on I’m really going to focus on the positives, and that even though numbers shouldn’t matter, the right people WILL find you online and stay.
Things I’m loving:
- Amy’s Instagram stories
- Where The Lights Get in by Lucy Dillon
- Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix
- Pringles Texas BBQ flavour
- Mrs Meldrum’s Youtube channel
- ‘In The Moment’ magazine- every one is just so good!
I would love to know what’s been on your mind lately?
